This Retreat Is For You If…
You want to practice Jivamukti Yoga, smell the ocean air, see the city with friends and still have space to breathe.
The Experience
(or what makes this retreat different)
Most retreats ask you to choose:
Depth or real life
Structure or freedom
Spiritual practice or pleasure and beauty
This retreat holds both — intentionally.
Through daily Jivamukti yoga, ritual, philosophy woven into movement, and then spacious time to explore, wander, and integrate, you’ll learn how to carry the practice with you — not leave it behind.
This is yoga that meets you where life is happening.
The Journey
Part 1
Ericeira — Ocean, Rhythm & Retreat
(4 nights)
We begin at Alma do Paço retreat centre near the ocean, where days are anchored in practice and presence.
Here you’ll experience:
Daily Jivamukti yoga practices (vinyasa, meditation, chanting, restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra)
Spacious afternoons for rest, walks, or time by the sea or the local town, both are a short walk away
Nourishing breakfast and dinners
A slower rhythm that allows the nervous system to soften
Ceremony
A deepening sense of devotion, clarity, and connection
This is where the body remembers how to listen.
The Venue: Alma do Paco
Part 2
Lisbon — City, Culture & Integration
(3 nights)
After our final morning practice at the retreat centre and some beach time, we travel together to Lisbon — bringing the practice into the pulse of the city.
In Lisbon, we gather for:
Daily Yoga practices in a beautiful studio space
A closing ceremony to integrate the journey
One included group dinner
Optional shared experiences ( a wine tour)
And in between?
Time to explore, shop, rest, wander, and live.
This is where the practice becomes yours.
Who this retreat is for
This retreat is for you if:
You love yoga and the world
You’re drawn to Jivamukti yoga and its roots in devotion, ethics, and embodied practice
You want depth and fun
You crave both connection and space to be alone
You’re ready to live your yoga — not just practice it
This is not a party trip.
And it’s not a silent retreat.
It’s for people who want to feel alive, clear, and rooted — in movement and in life.
Meet your teachers
For nearly 20 years, Jonni-Lyn Friel has been guiding students to discover that yoga is about so much more than movement. Her classes are an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the clarity, strength, and joy that come from an authentic yoga practice.
Originally from Canada, Jonni-Lyn spent many years living and teaching in Greece before returning to the West Coast, where she founded Namaha Yoga School. She is an E-RYT 500, E-RYT 200, RPYT, and Jivamukti Yoga teacher who has led teacher trainings, retreats, and workshops internationally.
Inspired by the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Jivamukti tradition, Jonni-Lyn blends thoughtful sequencing, philosophy, meditation, and breathwork into every class. Her teaching is known for being both accessible and deeply meaningful, creating space for students to challenge themselves while feeling supported every step of the way.
Whether this is your first retreat or your tenth, Jonni-Lyn's intention is simple: that you leave Portugal feeling stronger in your body, quieter in your mind, and more connected to the person you are when life slows down.

Accommodation in Lisbon is not included in the retreat price.
This is intentional — it allows you to choose a hotel that suits your comfort level, budget, and travel style. Not everyone has the same budget and I want to honour that. A recommended group hotel will be shared for those who wish to stay nearby. It is mid-range and includes breakfast and the one I will stay in.
We will still gather daily for yoga, ceremony, and shared experiences.
